Generate Bibliography Creates Right Justified Citation Numbering

When I select 'Generate Bibliography From Item' in Zotero 6.0.26 in macOS, then select Bibliography as Output Mode and Copy to Clipboard as Output Method, then paste the results each citation is numbers with right justification followed by a space, then a left justified citation. Each new citation number is on its own line and right justified.

This seems to be bizarre behavior. I expected it to print left justified citation number followed by a space, then the citation, also left justified.

Any suggestions?

    That's a known issue due to some quirkiness in how Word and some other software interpret HTML in the clipboard. Only options are to use the Word add-on or save as RTF and open with Word
