How to save changes in Style Editor

How can I save changes made in the style editor pane? The documentation says >>using the “Save” button<< – but there is no save button. There is only a "Save as..." button, but this one doesn't update the style. Also if I store the changes with any text editor in the .csl file the changes are not applied. I have to create a new style every time a make changes and load it to Zotero and change the settings for all documents... Is this really the intended path?
