Number of authors before et al

Help - I'm new to Zotero and loving it, but I need to change the Oxford University Press SciMed (numeric) from 3 authors pre et al to 6. I have seen some of the threads and help on this and tried to see if I can work it out but it's completely over my head....does anyone have a step by step idiots guide please?
  • You'd adapt line 74 to:
    <bibliography hanging-indent="false" et-al-min="7" et-al-use-first="6">

    General guide: https://www.zotero.org/support/dev/citation_styles/style_editing_step-by-step
  • Ah ok, thank you - I think this will be beyond my skills to achieve!
  • It's switching out a line in a file (with what damnation gives you above) and then update two others -- you don't have to understand any of the rest of the code, so this shouldn't be too daunting.
  • I'm really grateful for the speedy replies and advice offered, but working out how to get the line to edit, even with the general guide is beyond my skills. I am pretty good in MS office for what I need day to day for my job, but that's about it, so I'm afraid that for me it is quite daunting!
  • Daunting. You haven't even tried. Try first and then see. ;)
  • Don't edit using MS Word use a text editor like NotePad that is built into Windows.

    If you are using MS Office on a Mac, the TextEdit app comes free with the last several OS versions.

    This is really simple to do. The only wrinkle is following the instructions to Change the Style Title and ID. See the editing-step-by-step link above.

    You will smile at your success!
  • Oh my goodness. I have done it! Thanks all
