Highlighted text clipping

I've noticed that the text in some .epub files I've converted to .pdf and used in Zotero, 'clip' when highlighting. I know it's maybe off-topic and more related to Calibre - but I was wondering if anyone has advice on best settings to convert .epubs to .pdfs for optimal use in Zotero or whether there are any Zotero settings that may help?

-my bad - seems to be fine now.
