Style Request: Urban Forestry and Urban Greening
Hello,
I'm submitting a paper to the journal Urban Forestry and Urban Greening and would like to use Zotero to format my citations and lit cited. There is no citation style in the repository for this journal. Can someone help me make one? Or, I should say, can I help someone make one? I don't have any XML language editing experience.
Here's some information on the journal citation style:
The style appears to be very similar to the style of Environmental and Experimental Botany, which is in the Zotero Repository.
The only difference I've found between EE Botany and UFUG is that UFUG does not abbreviate journal titles. There may be other differences.
The Instructions for Authors, with more info on the citation style, can be found here:
http://www.elsevier.com/wps/find/journaldescription.cws_home/701803/authorinstructions
Thanks in advance!
Adam Z.

You can either just follow the steps here
http://www.zotero.org/support/requesting_styles
specifically look thoroughly for differences between the two styles
and I or someone else will make the style for you.
Alternatively, you can use
http://www.zotero.org/support/csl_simple_edits
and
http://www.zotero.org/support/dev/csl_syntax_summary
to learn a little bit about csl (the first link will probably do for the time being, the second one is mainly for reference) and try yourself and whenever you get stuck you come here for help.
To remove journal abbreviations, for example, you just have to take the out the form="short" in the container-title line of the style.
The style seems to work in Word. Thanks a lot for the help!
(e.g. you could copy&paste it into the window at gist.github.com and click "create public gist") so we can add it to the repository?
