Syncing plugin information?

I have Zotero syncing set up--both of my computers are signed into my account. However, my plugin information and preferences are not syncing (I have to download and set up each plugin separately on each computer). This is a real bummer, in particular, for Better Notes, because it means that my Obsidian notes are only synced with Zotero on one computer (the computer where I initially set up the sync). Is syncing of plugin information just not possible? Or am I missing a setting that will allow me to do this? (My actual parent items/notes/annotations/tags are syncing just fine. I use iCloud for my file storage.)
