Cannot drag and drop files to the Zotero in batch

The first time I used Zotero, I can drag all my pdf files from my computer to the Zotero software, but now as I upgraded my storage, the operation can no longer be done. I tried to drag a batch of files to the Zotero and nothing happens, both in 'my library' and 'group library'. I tried the import copied files function but it can only do 5 files at a time. I remember I can drag at least 100 files per operation just weeks ago. May I be advised on how to tackle this issue? Many thanks!

    I tried to re-install the software, actually, the drag and drop works fine if I do one file at a time, but nothing happens when I drag like 5 files. I remembered clearly that I can drag more than 100 files one time previously, any other attempts that I should try?
