PDF reader 'add note' icon is huge

When we add a note to a pdf, the icon it places on the pdf page is enormous and often obstructs text. No need for it to be that big.
  • I also think so, these big icons affect reading again
  • I suppose this might only be an issue when importing existing annotations from PDF files. If you're adding a new note annotation, it can be placed in a white space where it doesn't disturb reading, right?
  • For me, the note icon is significantly larger than the annotation comment icon. DDEG2V, is that what you're referring to?

The annotation-comment icon is just an indicator that there's a comment on the highlight. The note-annotation icon is supposed to be much bigger, because it has to be easily clickable itself. You can argue that it's too big, but it's in line with the size of the note icon in, for example, macOS Preview. (Note also that the icon scales with the page zoom.)

That makes sense to me. However, in iOS (version 1.0.24 Build 222), the note icon appears smaller than the annotation comment icon (that I will cautiously mention again is itself too large)

I believe at some point the note icon in iOS was much larger, based on what I see here
