moving files from library to collection

Hi,
I am sorting out my collections, moving files from my zotero library to the collection I created within that library. However, every time I move some files, it then opens the collection in the main screen, so I have to go back to the library and find where I was in the files I was sorting. Instead, I would like to stay in the library and sort the files from there. I am losing a lot of time having to find where I was in the library to continue sorting the files.
Could someone let me know how to disable this automatic opening of the collection?

Is this on a Mac? This would happen if Zotero detects a click at the end of the drag, which we've seen for some people with Force Click enabled on a Mac trackpad (as it is by default). Make sure you're not pressing down further during the drag.

But note that you can also move items to a collection from the item context menu.
