zotero 7 bug report

Today updated to zotero version 7.0.0-beta.1641766f8bb5
then;
Shortcut key cmd+shift+C does not quick copy reference any more. Other keys works.
  • Can you provide a Debug ID for reproducing this?

There's no Quick Copy attempt logged there.
  • But how can be? I didn't instal any app or change any key?
    It occurred just after upgrading
  • Did you actually reproduce the problem while logging was running? Can you try again? Please read the instructions carefully before replying.
  • Yes:
    1. Restart with Logging Enabled...
    2. click any title and cmd+shift+C
    3. (no reference copied)
    4. submit output: D740843820
  • Something else on your system is likely interfering.

You can try changing the shortcut key from the Advanced pane of the Zotero settings. You can also try Cmd-Shift-A for citation Quick Copy and provide a Debug ID for that. But as is, there's no sign that that shortcut key is making it to Zotero.
  • 1. Copy Selected Item Citations to Clipboard cmd+shift+A (works)
    2. Copy Selected Items to Clipboard cmd+shift+X (changed from C to X, works)
    3. Copy Selected Items to Clipboard cmd+shift+C (changed back to C, not working)
    4. everytime application restarted

  • Right, so it's almost certainly just something else on your system interfering with that shortcut.
  • And also there is a error message in Add Ons Manager window:
"All add-ons have been disabled by safe mode."

It indicates the zoreto runs safe mode.
I run regular mode, not cmd+click

    There must something wrong.
I have remove and installed again, but it still persist.

Go to the Config Editor at the bottom of the Advanced pane of the Zotero settings, search for toolkit.startup.recent_crashes, and reset it. Then restart to get out of Safe Mode. (This is a known issue in the Zotero 7 beta.)

But I'd be surprised if that fixed anything. Cmd-Shift-A and Cmd-Shift-C work exactly the same way.
  • Thanks,
    reseted to 0
    error message gone.

    cmd+shift+C still doesn't works
    I must use cmd+shift+X
  • Again, it's almost certainly something else on your system, not a problem in Zotero itself. You can test this yourself by reinstalling Zotero 6 or an older Zotero 7 beta build.
  • Old version didn't work either.
    I must use cmd+shift+X

    Thank you
  • I mean, you can, or you can figure out what on your system is interfering. Obviously something else changed.
