Upgrade StorageText-to-speech on iPad reading too fast
Using Zotero Version 1.0.17 on my 4th generation iPad Air, iPadOS version 16.5.1.
When I highlight text and use the speak function in Zotero, the voiceover is too fast. It sounds like it's reading at 2x speed. It has been like this since I first downloaded Zotero to my iPad, yesterday.
I could not find settings within Zotero to control text-to-speech speed. I thought it could be affected by the VoiceOver settings under Accessibility in my iPad settings. Indeed, the speaking rate was set higher than the default. However when I turned down the speaking rate it did not affect Zotero's text-to-speech speed, even after restarting my iPad.
Does anyone know how I can adjust the text-to-speech speed?
