Zotero freezes with PDF opened

    Is there a solution for the problem? Because I have the same problem with the same Zotero Version
    Sometimes it's so bad, that zotero even freezes with just one PDF opened.

    And on my second computer I have another version (6.0.23) and it never freezes even with 10 PDF opened parallel.

    First try disabling any third-party plugins you're using.

    If this is specifically about the PDF reader, the most likely cause would be opening large PDFs with huge, compressed images.

    Zotero 7, currently in beta, greatly improves the PDF reader performance.

    Yes it only happens with the PDF reader and it does not depend on which PDF I have opened. Sometimes everything works fine, sometimes I can't do anything and the program freezes.

    Okay so I will wait for Zotero 7?

    This certainly isn't a general problem with Zotero 6. Restart your computer and try again, and if it still happens, provide a Debug ID for Zotero startup through reproducing the problem, using the "Restart with Logging Enabled…" option.

    I have this problem for several months now, so restarting my computer and the program didn't fixed it in the past, but I enabled the Debug ID now and will send in the report. I really like working with zotero and use it for quite some time now...I'm just confused because it happens so unpredictable and just on this computer..
