Cannot install Zotero Connector Firefox Win 11
Dear all,
I recently reinstalled my Win 11 System
Edition Windows 11 Pro
Version 22H2
Installed on 04/06/2023
OS build 22621.1848
Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22642.1000.0
and Zotero 6.0.26. I am using Firefox 114.0.2 (64-bit).
When I navigate to https://www.zotero.org/download/connectors and click on "Install" the link is a dead end. When I check it manually it seems as if the Firefox version (last digits of the link) is not correct:
https://www.zotero.org/download/connector/dl?browser=firefox&version=5.0.110
Please can you let me know how to install connector on my System?
Thank you

It's just a regular link to an XPI, so if you're having trouble, that would be some problem with your Firefox installation or network. You can always save the XPI to disk and install it through the Add-ons pane in Firefox.
I am not sure where I can save the XPI file. Github? Any advice is appreciated.
Many thanks,
Sebastian
HOWEVER: for some reason i could not bring Firefox to download that file which sits behind that link; or rather the current one (https://www.zotero.org/download/connector/dl?browser=firefox&version=5.0.114). After rightclick 'Save target to...' nothing happens.
So i had to use Edge to actually download it and then used the file with Firefox as described above.
Many thanks,
Bertl
How can I retrieve the xpi file for manual installing it?
Thanks for your help and best regards,
Sebastian
You can debug this on your network or try from another network and email yourself the file (or get someone else to do so).
