Dear Zotero community, I work for an agency that uses a unique citation style. I want to create a unique format within Zotero to automate footnoting. I also want to use the Zotero plug-in in Word to include the citation style as footnotes at the bottom of the page rather than at the end of the document.
Can someone please help me to understand how to:
1) Create a new citation style in Zotero
2) Change the default Add Citation format from in-text citations to footnotes.

I see that I can edit the CSL of any footnote format style. Is that the best way to do this? If so, does Zotero also offer a tutorial on understanding each line of the CSL and how to revise it to make a citation format as you want it?. Thank you!

Edit: Generally speaking, unless your citation style is *very* ideosyncratic, you almost certainly want to start with an existing one.
