It appears that I am having difficulties updating the bibliographic references in a lengthy 450-page document, where the references section alone spans approximately 50 pages. Unfortunately, this situation is affecting the functionality of both Word and Zotero, as they become unresponsive when attempting to perform the update.
I am using a MacBook Air M1 2020, and I have noticed that Zotero lacks a reliable information hub to address this matter. Therefore, I would like to kindly ask if you could provide any guidance or advice to help resolve this inconvenience. I have tried updating the entire bibliography, but I keep encountering constant errors.

Updating a huge bibliography on Mac Word can be quite slow, so you may just be waiting long enough. If you're getting an error, you'll need to say what the error message is and provide a Report ID.
You should also make sure that you've disabled "Automatically update citations" in the plugin's document preferences.
