Is it possible to control sync directions?

Hi there,

I installed Zotero on Linux at home and a Windows laptop at work. I used the common relative directory structure strategy on both computers to sync them via Zotero's Cloud storage. But syncing often causes file deletion each other on both computers. The symptom is like this: if a file not existing on one computer in which Zotero is launched while the second computer which has the file is not running. The file disappeared from the second computer when it is launched next time. Vice versa. Is there a way to control the sync direction? Basically, I want to use Zotero on my laptop as a file uploader to the Cloud while the Zotero on my Linux only downloads the files from the Cloud.

Thank you
  • There’s some sort of confusion here. If you’re using linked files, Zotero doesn’t sync those at all. And Zotero syncing doesn’t behave the way you describe anyway.
