large PDFs (350 mb) not loading and causing system to freeze

App seems to struggle handling PDFs over 100 MB.

    You can try the improved PDF reader in the Zotero 7 beta.

    I fixed this issue by dragging the entry associated with the problem PDF to a shared library, deleting the it, then copying the entry from the shared library. Don't know the effect this had I did but it worked.

    That wouldn't have any effect on the PDF reader's ability to open the file. It may have just been cached in memory from a previous load, or there may have been less going on on your computer.
