Not able to add citation

Hi1 When I am clicking on Add/Edit citation button from toolbar, it says wait Zotero is updating your document. A green progress bar appears in another window. But then it shows 'Zotero had error updating your document'. Does anybody know what is wrong and how to fix this issue?? Please guide @zotero
