Upgrade StorageCustomizing the {{citation}} format in annotations.noteTemplates.
I'm using Zotero to add item notes with annotations.noteTemplates. I have tried changing {{citation}} in the editor preferences, but it doesn't affect the citation format in the item notes no matter what I do. I want to customize the format to be (page, title), but I couldn't achieve it, so I ended up removing {{citation}} from annotations.noteTemplates. It would be really great if Zotero supports or provides a way to modify the citation format in item notes generated through annotations.noteTemplates.
In the settings under Export there are tens of options for item format, right above note format settings. However, no matter what is chosen, the "Add note from annotations" action always inserts citations in some unknown format.
Where does Zotero take that format and why would it not follow the format chosen by user?
