bug(?): the right pane within the pdf reader is missing if the pdf is opened in a new window

If I open a pdf while pressing the ctrl key, the pdf will be opened in a new window, in which case I can't find the right pane at all. Is there any way to have the right pane in this case?

    The right pane is not supported in a standalone PDF reader window.

    Is there any plan of adding this feature? The right pane is quite useful when reading a pdf, especially when one installs plugins such as "zotero pdf translate" or "zotero references"
