Q: How to take notes on old books?

I have some older books that I want to take notes on, but the books aren't in an electronic form. Scanning the books into Zotero doesn't make sense, but I want to keep all my research notes in one place.

Is there a good way to manage this in Zotero?

Add the book entry as metadata in Zotero (either manually of from a library catalog) and then add a child note.
