Drag and drop items to other folders

more or less from version 6 onwards, I experience a problem when dragging one or more items from one folder to another. Before version 6 I could select one or more items and drag them from one folder to another, with no problem. Now, each time I do that the focus moves to the second folder (like if I click-ked on this latter), while I want to remain on my first folder where the items are originally either to delete them or drag them to a third folder, etc..
This has become almost impossible, sometimes it works but most of the times it doesn't. Is there anything I'm doing wrong?
