Items disappear after importing references via a .bib file

After I import references via a .bob file, all items disappear. I click on a collection, and Zotero is blank. I need to restart every time.

    To be clear -- you are saying this is a display issue, right? The items are in your database & visible after restart, but not visible right after import?
    And that's all items in your library or all imported items?

    But also -- you've posted about a range off add-ons in the past: see if this also occurs with all add-ons disabled. If it doesn't re-enable them one by one to figure out which one causes this issue.

    Right, I can see that items have been added (I see the number of items next to the folder that had been created) but the folder looks empty, and in addition, all the other folders look empty.

    yeah, e.g. numbers next to folders aren't a Zotero feature at all -- so check if this replicates without add-ons.
