Disabled to finding the citation number in the draft

I used the citation format of nature, and marked the references with serial numbers in the text. One of the articles can not find the serial number cited in the text, but this article appears in the references at the end of the article. I want to delete this article now, not sure how to do it.
  • First try clicking the Refresh button in the Zotero tab in Word. That will likely remove the item from the references list.

If it is still there after refreshing, go to the part of the document where the missing reference should be based on its number in the references list (eg, if it is number 3, go to the place in your document between where you have cited items 2 and 4). Then type Alt + F9 (on Windows) to convert all special fields (including Zotero citations) to their underlying codes. You should see all your citations expanded into their underlying data. You will then likely see the codes for the missing citation. Delete these, being careful to get the space before and after the citation as well. Then type Alt + F9 again to hide the field code and Refresh your document
  • Thank you for the suggestion. Firstly, when I click refreshing, the additional reference is still in the reference list. Secondly, when I type Alt+F9, there is nothing occurs in the text so I can't make any changes. Are there any other methods I can try to solve the problem?
  • See https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/word_field_codes -- if you have active citations, you definitely have field codes that you can show. Might be alt+FN+F9
  • Thanks, alt+FN+F9 works.
