Issues with adding a citation para. number using the Zotero Word plug-in

I am required to use the SBL style for my work. When using the SBL style with ebooks (in Perlego, for instance), we are told to use 'chap. x, para. x'. The issue is that when the citation is imported through the Zotero plug-in, the para. is changed to symbols '¶¶'. Is there a way to prevent this?

I use version 6.0.27 of Zotero and Word version 16.72 on a Mac.

I assume you're using SBL, version 2, full note.

Open the style and remove

      <term name="paragraph" form="short">
        <single>¶</single>
        <multiple>¶¶</multiple>
      </term>

It's in the locale section that follows the info section.

You need to change ID etc. as explained here: https://www.zotero.org/support/dev/citation_styles/style_editing_step-by-step
