Unbelievably slow

Hi, I have a paper to get in and Word + Zotero on Office for Mac 365 is so slow that I can't add any more citations (150 odd) because it takes 3-4 mins to add one. Is there anything that is known to fix this please?

If Zotero is just a poor package, has anyone moved citation editor so that the links update automatically in the Word doc when you move to the new package?

Generally Word for Mac is by far the slowest word processor in working with Zotero, so some slowness in a document with >100 citations would indeed be expected there (wouldn't be an issue in LibreOffice or Word for Windows).
That said, that still seems a bit too slow unless you have a very old computer. Do you have automatically update citations turned off under Document Settings (you should).

Thanks for your reply. I have an M1 Mac Book Pro so no issues there.

I have disabled automatic updates.

Further problem: now my Table of Figures in Word is part corrupted with Zotero Citations mixed in. Have you come across that?

No - nor do I recall anyone else ever reporting that - but that could suggest something else might be off in the document (and possibly contribute to delays).
