Add to repository please :) - Cite Them Rite Bloomsbury Vancouver
Hi everyone,
I am a Assistive Technology Trainer and have received this query from a student. Can anyone help?
Please see below some examples of the Zotero code I need. It is based on Cite them right by Bloomsbury, and I have added some high level rules first!
High level “rules”
Citations – numbers in brackets in text e.g. (1), and these numbers are repeated in the reference list in the order they appear in the text, not alphabetically.
Very little punctuation used.
No italics are used.
All titles should be written in their original languages. Non-English titles should be followed by a translation of the title in square brackets.
Well-established abbreviations are used for journal titles and US states. Journal abbreviations are stored the in the National Library of Medicine List of Serials Indexed for Online Users, and use a capital letter for each word of the abbreviated title.
Authors names are cited by family name then initials – no comma between the surname and initials and no full stop after the initials or space between the initials. Indicate the end of the author(s) names with a full stop. Authors should be listed in order shown in the article not alphabetically. All names should have accents and diacritics from letters removed.
If there are more than 6 authors for all of the below, the first six authors are named and then et al. is added.
Example of online journal
Author(s). Title of article. Abbreviated title of journal [Internet]. Date of publication as year month day [cited year month day]; Volume(issue):page numbers or article. Available from: https://doi.org
Example: Shoshani A, Aharon-Dvir O, Hain D, Yaffe A. Cite Them Right describes its own "Harvard" style but then also provides guidance for "Vancouver" and "APA", which are elsewhere defined (in the case of Vancouver in the NLM's "Citing Medicine")
