Word Beta Freezing

I was having continuous problems with word freezing for the past week or so (Macbook). After just about every word I typed I was getting the spinning wheel - it seemed to be getting worse so I tried updating word and noticed I was on the beta channel. Unfortunately, I forgot to write down the version I was on. I reinstalled word on the current channel and it seems to have solved the problem (so far!). Not sure if this is a known issue about the beta.
