Upgrade StorageZotero keeps adding references to the list that are not in text
I hope someone is able to help with this issue, because it is driving me insane. I have a document in Microsoft Word (version 2019, Mac OS) and in the reference list there are references that are not in the text (anymore). The references make sense and I am sure they were in the text at some point, but I deleted these. Somehow they remain in the reference list and I haven't found how I am able complete delete them as I am not able to track them down in the text. Any help is appreciated!
Switch to a numeric style (e.g. IEEE) as it will give you a hint to where in the text they are hidden, then turn on field codes (see https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/word_field_codes) and search for those bits of the citations and delete them.
