Can't add new citations to library or do anything on Google Docs

When I try to save to Zotero, I get the prompt telling me the article was successfully saved, but it does not appear in any directory in my library. When I go to do anything in google docs, I am stuck with the green loading bar that never progresses and the document has the "updating document" layover that won't go away until I refresh the page.
I cannot add new citations, update preferences, refresh the citations, or do anything with zotero at all, regardless of what document I'm working with. My library only has ~70 citations, so it's likely not a size issue, and it happens on documents new and old. Any suggestions on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated, thank you in advance!

    It sounds like these are separate issues.

    For saving, does it say that it's saving to your library or to zotero.org?

    For Google Docs, check to make sure that the citation dialog isn't just appearing behind other windows. That's the most likely explanation.

    Not really sure what happened. It was saying saving to library and the dialog wasn't popping up at all, anywhere on the computer, but all of a sudden it's working just fine again. Maybe your comment magically fixed it, who knows?
