Placing a reference in a LO Writer footnote causes Zotero to fail

Both generating a bibliography or adding additional references in a document where a Zotero reference is made in footnote in LibreOffice Writer (7.5) causes Zotero to have an error. Everything works fine when I move the same references into the body of the document.

Can you reproduce this in a new document? If so, what are the steps?

I will try to get to this in the coming week. I placed it in scattered footnotes in a 10 chapter document of over 300 pages. I am still trying to clean out all of the footnotes and re-do each of the Zotero references. It may be a side-effect of using a master document with 10 chapters and 1 appendix as well. I have tried exporting the master with chapters into a plain ODT file, but that did not solve the problem.
