Did a Zotero update delete Sync configs?

I have been using Zotero for years with my own WEBDAV-serverspace, about 36GB in the directory at the moment. I started to use this PC in fall 2022 and installed and configured Zotero like I had done before, file attachments syncing to my webdav-server. Today after starting Zotero I received the warning that my data space on Zotero is full. When checking the Preferences I noticed that Sync did not contain any more my webdav-address URL which I had entered. Instead it was the Zotero file space.
When checking the dates on my webdav-server, the newest data were 2 months old. In my opinion that must mean that about 2 months ago a change in the sync config must have been made. I have not changed anything.
I have changed the sync URL back to my own server and now I can see on my webdav server that new data are uploaded.
1. Is it possible that an update of Zotero wiped the sync URL?
2. How can I empty the Zotero file space in case I want to change to it later.
  • No, a Zotero update wouldn't have changed this. Something may have happened to your Zotero preferences, but that would affect everything, including your main Zotero sync username.
