Using Zotero with eBooks?

I'm new to Zotero and I'm only familiar with its general web capabilities. Can anyone suggest the best way to use Zotero when you are dealing with eBooks? My PhD program is switching to eBooks for most of the texts and I would like to continue to use Zotero. Will it function as an eBook reader?

Also, what is the best way to use Zotero when you are reading from traditional, paper books?

Hi Mike, welcome to Zotero!

Zotero is great for ebooks. I manage all my PDFs with it, including lots of ebooks. Note that Zotero won't function as your ebook reader — for that, you will use the software that comes with the ebooks (if they are in a different format than PDF) — but it is perfect as an ebook manager, in effect functioning as a digital library.
