Cloud Storage and Annotations

If I use the Zotero app on iPad or Mac and I save a PDF article, does that take up storage on my device or is it cloud-based storage?

Also, when I annotate an article, is there a way to send or export/print a clean (annotation free) version of the article?

    On the Desktop (i.e. Mac, Windows, Linux) version, files are stored locally and then synced up to the cloud (assuming you have that set up). Not sure about iOS -- that might work slightly different.

    For the second question: annotations made with Zotero aren't stored in the file, so if you open that in any other PDF tool (e.g. after using Show File on the Desktop), it'll be a clean copy.
