How to stop Zotero automatic updates and install

How can i turn off automatic updates?

I use OSX 10.10.5 and the only working version for it is Zotero 6.0.4

Anything else after that version just wont boot for me.

    All Macs running 10.10 can be updated to 10.11. Is there a reason you’re not doing that? We can’t provide any support for older versions, and various things will stop working.

    ok thanks. so theres no way to stop automatic updates before that?

    You can set app.update.auto to false from the Config Editor in the Advanced pane of the preferences, but we strongly discourage that. You're very likely to forget you have it off and end up running an outdated version for a long time.
