Upgrade StorageAnyone using MacSpeech Dictate?
Is anyone using MacSpeech Dictate to enter notes in Zotero? I know from another thread that there may be issues with fields and speech-to-text dictation software, but it sounds like entering notes should work. Maybe I'm just lazy, but the thought of sitting there with book/article in hand and reading aloud to take notes is really tempting! Since I can't find out anything from MacSpeech's own forums (which foolishly only permit posting by those who already own the product), I thought I'd ask here if anyone has tried this.
I don't know about MacSpeech, but I have colleagues who have used other dictation software (Dragon, I think) with Zotero for notes at least, without any issues. As Dan noted in the other thread you mention, Zotero can't tell what you're using in place of a keyboard-- it could be a bar-code scanner, it could be handwriting recognition, it could be a neural interface. If you try out MacSpeech and it has trouble with Zotero, I'm sure that the Zotero forums would be willing to help you figure out what the issue is.
