Chrome extension not working

Trying to use my Chrome extension today, and it keeps saying "Zotero is disabled" when I hover over the icon. And when I press the icon, it displays a pop down menu that takes me to the Zotero site.

My account has plenty of storage, my Zotero desktop app is running, and I tried deleting and reuploading the extension, but nothing worked :(

Assistance would be appreciated.

    You'd see that if you weren't on a regular online webpage or PDF (beginning with "http://" or "https://).
  • Oh dear. You're right!
    I somehow had the library version of the article, and the PDF I downloaded (because it wasn't fully loading from the library) BOTH open, and was on the downloaded PDF.
