Upgrade StorageZotero Connector Error w/ Chrome—Only saves ACM PDFs sporadically.

Apologies if this has already been addressed elsewhere. I keep getting an error using Zotero connector with chrome when using the ACM Digital Library. When I open a pdf through the DL and then click the connector, I get "An error occurred saving with ACM Digital Library. Attempting to save using DOI instead."
The connector will then add the item to my library. However it will not add the PDF unless it is open access, or elsewhere openly available on the web, even though I am logged in to ACM. If I right-click the zotero connector and choose "Save to Zotero (PDF)" it will add the PDF no problem, however I'm working on a large literature review and this is proving pretty tedious.
Is there anything I can do? Is there an issue with how I have my proxy set up or something? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
