Chicago not showing paragraph number in first citation of a case

I am using Chicago full note style in a document in which I am citing a number of court judgments. Using the document type 'case' the paragraph number I have asked to be listed as the source is not appearing in the first reference, but only in subsequent footnotes. The paragraph number does appear if I switch to OSCOLA. I think this must be a bug?
Thanks for any help.
  • We can take a look
  • This is now fixed.
  • thanks for quick work! I've updated the style (under 'advanced'/'update now' in Zotero preferences), but am still getting the same problem. Also restarted Zotero. Any suggestions what else I should do?
  • I believe so, listed in Zotero as Chicago Manual of Style 17th edition (full note) - and showing updated yesterday.
  • You've tested in a new document? Could you post a footnote of a case with paragraph number set here?
  • same in new document
  • not sure what you're asking for, paragraph number doesn't show so no point pasting the footnote?
  • However: here are two footnotes to the same case in the same document, I've asked both of them to have a paragraph number, but the paragraph number only shows in the second citation:
Open Society Justice Initiative v. Côte d’Ivoire, No. 318/06 (African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights 28 February 2015).
OSJI v. Côte d’Ivoire paragraph 112 et seq.
  • Because details matter -- I added the paragraph number for reported cases, but not for unreported cases. I'll take another look.
