Editing/suggesting/viewing button in GoogleDocs

In a google doc which already has zotero references, if I even just hover the mouse over the dditing/suggesting/viewing button then the zotero drop-down menu greys out and zotero is no longer useable until I close and reopen the document. I guess it's a bug?

I'm using zotero 6.0.22 on macOs Monterey

    Yes, thanks — this is a bug that happens if you have the new Google Docs design they just started rolling out. It's fixed in the latest Zotero Connector for Chrome and Firefox, and the Edge version should be out shortly. For Safari, it's fixed in the current Zotero beta and will be in Zotero 6.0.23 soon.

    If you're still on an affected version, you can just reload the page with Cmd-R — no need to close and reopen.
