digitized archival docs on web
So I have a problem where many archival documents in online digital collections are interpreted by Zotero as a generic "web page" thus ignoring all the metadata provided by the digital record, leaves me with just the page title and URL, and create a big hassle to go back and manually correct.
Here is just one example: https://historicpittsburgh.org/islandora/object/pitt:31735070938760
Is this a problem with the archival digital record (supply), Zotero's reading (demand), or some setting I need to adjust (user error)?
Thanks!

adamsmithMainly supply: Zotero looks for standard metadata in the page header (see https://www.zotero.org/support/dev/exposing_metadata ), and there's literally nothing there. It's possible to write dedicated code for import from such sites, but it's a fair amount of work and would need to be custom code for every site...
