Plugin "zotero if pro max " needs ¥200 in China, and someone cracked it.
  • I am very much not a lawyer, but my reading of the AGPL license under which Zotero is published would be that an add-on (which would typically use Zotero code and directly hook into Zotero's code, rather than just interact with it through an API) likely shouldn't be closed source (it's fine, though often not viable, to charge for an open source tool)

I'd be surprised if Zotero tried to do much about this unless this becomes a major add-on.
  • zotero is AGPLv3? read the license you will get answer.
  • AGPLv3 is 5,000 words of dense legal text. I don't think "read the license" is a reasonable answer to anything.

From my understanding of the license, I think their code should be open source.
