Style Request: CSE Style Manual N-Y (Name-Year)
I have a style request concerning a modification of the already existing CSE style (Council of Science Editors) in Zotero. It is thus a dependent-style. I appreciate your help!
Similar styles:
The style I am searching for is most similar to the CSE style which already exists in the Zotero Style Repository.
Differences from similar style:
The already existing CSE style can be seen in the Zotero Style Repository. Below I will present the N-Y (Name-Year) modification of this style which I would like to use in Zotero. I retrieved the examples from http://library.osu.edu/sites/guides/csegd.php. Main differences are the in-text citations and the date (year only) which is found between the authors names and the title of the article separated by dots. I only display the major source types (books, journals, etc.):
Book:
In-Text:
(McCormac and Kennedy 2004)
Journal Article:
In-Text:
(Meise et al. 2003)
Electronic Article (e.g. from online-only journals):
Bibliography:
Hong P, Wong W. 2005. GeneNotes: a novel information management software for biologists. BMC Bioinformatics [Internet]. [cited 2007 July 24]; 6:20. Available from: http://www.biomedcentral.com/1471-2105/6/20
In-Text:
(Hong and Wong 2005)
Web Page (With No Author Listed):
Bibliography:
Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) [Internet]. [updated 2007 Feb 27]. Columbus (OH): Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division of Forestry; [cited 2007 Jul 24]. Available from: http://www.dnr.state.oh.us/forestry/health/eab.htm
In-Text:
(Emerald Ash Borer ... [updated 2007])
Link to style guide:
The following web page of the Ohio State University Libraries http://library.osu.edu/sites/guides/csegd.php seems to be a reputable source of information on the N-Y style modification of CSE.
Again, thank you for your support, help and effort!
Greetings from the Netherlands,
Johannes

download using the "Raw" link on the top right.
Install by dragging the file to an open Firefox Window.
I have just worked with what you gave me and this looks right, but you'll have to do the checking and please report any remaining errors here.
Also, the idea of adding individual pages from a book in the bibliography (as in your first example) is so unusual that it's not possible in Zotero.
