Rename bulk pdfs with PMID
Hello,
I work with PubMed records and collect PDFs.
I have collected in my library the 111 that I need for my project, and I want to rename them all to the PMID.
However, the PMID seems to be buried in the Extra field, and won't be renamed with the methods I've found here.
Is there a way to pull the PMID out of the Extra field and rename all of my PDFs with the PMID?
Thanks.

adamsmithIt might be possible to use regex to do this via a ZotFile custom wildcard, but certainly wouldn't be trivial.

terrelliedited March 7, 2023Is there a regex builder available? I'm new to Zotero so please forgive any basic questions here. Also, why is PMID in the Extra field? Is it possible to get it into its own field? It seems like a pretty useful field in a pretty common database.

adamsmithIt's in Extra because fields haven't been updated for a combination of rather technical reasons in the last ~10 years. Will happen sooner rather than later, hopefully this year and I assume that'll include a PMID field.
