word-doc corrupted by too many references?

Hi trouble-forum experts,

sorry if this is double posted, by I have not found any comments on this: I am using Word 2004 on Mac OsX Tiger, Zotero Plugin 1. I inserted many citations through the Plugin-Toolbar into a document and after reopening it, Word breaks down saying the document is corrupted. I can reopen the saved document though, but am quite worried since I am writing on my thesis, and I dont want to take any risk. (Yes I know that word is always a risk)

Thank you,

  • Word breaks down saying the document is corrupted
    Please include exact error messages when reporting bugs.
  • Hi Dan, not much more to say: If I reopen the file, word says that data corruption has occured, but part of the document can be restored. The restored document shows the Zotero-Citations like this

    >ADDIN ZOTERO_ITEM {"citationItems":[{"itemID":6935,"locator":"7"}]}
    (Burghouwt und Huys, 2003: S. 7)

    Since the excact error message is in German, I can only translate what I wrote.

    Thanks,

  • Again, please post the exact message, German or otherwise.
  • ? The exact message is what I wrote "data corruption has occured, but part of the document can be restored", then Word restores the document with the above mentioned effect on the cited items.

  • Post the message you see on screen—the message in German. A translated message is much less helpful, both for debugging and for other people experiencing the same issue.
