Characters in file names

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this question, but I'm having issues importing some files. Is there a way to get Zotero to ignore apsotrophe's in titles of articles when importing? I can't create and compress backups if there is an apostrophe in file name (at least windows tells me that is the problem...).

Doesn't happen too often so i can change manually, but it would be nice if there were a way to do so. I'm under the impression that Zotero zips files when zync-ing. Do apostrophes in file names cause problems there too?

Please be more specific about what you're doing (importing how? what format? how are the files linked? what titles?) and what's happening.
