Feature request - recognise citations already in database
Sometimes I forget if I already have a citation in my database, so I have to go into Zotero and search for it manually before adding it, or else risk ending up with a duplicate record.
It would be useful if Zotero could recognise that a citation was already in the database and offer to:
1) not save the information OR
2) create a new database entry OR
3) merge the new information with the old information because sometimes one site has more or better information than another site, for the same citation.
This could be implemented by highlighting similar records in the Zotero window, or by adding a new or different icon to the address bar, where the current "Save to Zotero" icon is.
