Abbreviate Journal Name when Using Quick Copy in Better BibTex
Hi,
I found that when I use quick copy to export reference to .bib format, somehow the journal name does not become an abbreviation automatically, for example "journal={The Journal of Chemical Physics}".
When I export the reference by right click -> Export Item ->Better BibTex and turn on "Use Journal Abbreviation", then we will get "journal={J. Chem. Theory Comput.}"
I checked that I already turned on "Preferences -> Better BibTex -> Export -> Miscellaneous -> Automatically abbreviate journal title if none is set explicitly"
My Zotero version is 6.0.22.
The item exported has the keys "Publication": The Journal of Chemical Physics; "Journal Abbr": J. Chem. Phys.
Thank you for any help and suggestions.

emilianoeheynsThere is no way to provide export settings for quick copy (for any translator). They are set to their defaults by Zotero, which in the case of "Use journal abbreviation" is "off".

slicaHi, I'm having the same question. Do you think it is possible to add a new format that allows using journal abbreviation (which we can select in Export - Item format) to solve this problem?
