As you know, we can use zotero pdf reader to open pdf files in zotero.

If I would like to use zotero pdf reader as the default program to open pdf files in my compute, is it possible? How? Thanks.

No, it's what I say there — Zotero isn't designed as a general-purpose PDF reader for files on your system that don't exist in your library. A future version will let you open files with Zotero as a way of importing them into your library, but then they'll exist in your library.
