MLA formatting changed incorrectly

I am working in a document that I have been citing using MLA format and everything was fine until today, when the document started updating and added the titles of texts to a large number of my in-text citations. This is not the MLA style, which only includes the last name of te author and the page number like this: (Smith 20). I have tried refreshing the document and that tends to make matters worse. What should I do?
  • The style hasn't changed for quite some time. MLA style -- both the manual and our implementation - will add short titles to disambiguate citations by the same author. Could that be going on? Note that Zotero will also treat duplicates versions of the same item as two different citations requiring disambiguation
  • I don't think it's doing it for authors with the same name because it just added them to a citation for a last name that I know has only been used once. I'll have to do through with a fine-toothed comb later and see if I might just be wrong.
  • Add a bibliography to see duplicates
  • Oh, thanks! I will try that. I think that might be the issue because I was working on a different computer.
